5. Ideal pH level of the skin?
The pH of your skin care products matters more than you think. Using the correctly balanced ones will not only keep your skin more happy and healthy but also help you to avoid unnecessary acne/pores. Stripping your skin with harsh products will only increase oil production, leaving your skin clogged and irritated.
The pH of skincare products is an important factor that affects how your skin will look and feel.
First, what is pH?
pH is a scale of measure from 1 to 14 that tells you how acidic a product is. A neutral pH is 7. Anything lower than 7 is considered acidic while anything higher than 7 is considered alkaline or basic. Our skin is actually naturally more on the acidic side with a pH of 4.2 to 5.6, and remains at this pH to defend itself from bad bacteria, which can multiply in more alkaline conditions.
Our skin is naturally protected by a thin layer made of ceramides, free fatty acids and lipids called the acid mantle. This mantle protects the skin from any possible irritants, like acne-causing bacteria and transepidermal water loss (AKA one of the culprits behind dry skin). It’s important to keep this mantle balanced so that it can continue to fight off bad bacteria for you. When our skin pH is imbalanced it will essentially leave our skin unprotected, which is why it’s important to keep the pH of our skin care products in mind because that will affect our skin pH level. All our products ranges has ideal pH level which is balances our skin.
6. IF You can't eat it then don't wear it!
Skin has the ability to absorb certain compounds; however, a protective barrier is able to keep dangerous compounds, to some degree out of the body. Even then, research still concludes that personal care products, when applied topically, can damage bodily systems and lead to untold health consequences. One of the key rules of any beauty product is basic and straightforward: if you can’t eat it, don’t wear it. Our natural range of butters like Shea ,mango and coco butter are one of the leading natural moisturizers. Use of extra virgin oils that include olive, coconut, hazelnut, argan , jojoba , castor, palm , kernel, sunflower and essential oils like lavender , lemon ,orange , rose hip ,carrot seed, peppermint oils etc and also usage of fruits and vegetables in our products provide essential fatty acids and nutrients for healthy, youthful and glowing skin.
7. Natural Fragrance !
Many people shop with their nose when it comes to personal care products .Scents in the majority of beauty products consist of a mixture of chemicals and synthetic fragrances these chemicals can be inhaled throughout the day. Man-made aromas expose the body to a number of toxic effects, and some research has linked them to cancer, nervous system disorders, allergies, and birth defects. Not only do humans inhale these chemicals into their lungs, they also expose their skin to these toxic compounds. When choosing beauty products, always make sure that the scents are derived from 100% natural ingredients. Essential oils are perhaps one of the best natural perfumes in the world and the most concentrated in terms of aroma and we use only essential oils to fragrances our products
Blare & Blush strongly believes on a Eco-Friendly concept as very product we use on our skin will eventually end up in soil and waterways and its creates a further impact on micro-organisms and aquatic life. Conventional products utilize petroleum-based ingredients and usually rely on a host of other chemicals for their production process, where as our products contain most skin friendly and natural ingredients to give the best results.
9.Gentle on Your Skin !

A white crystalline powder derived from a fungus in Asia, kojic acid has long been used in Japan as a natural alternative to hydroquinine and is very effective at reducing skin discoloration. According to the American Academy of Dermatologists, kojic acid has been clinically shown to reduce hyper-pigmentation. It works by inhibiting the function of tyrosinase, the protein responsible for producing melanin. It also acts as an antioxidant and is suitable for sun damaged or sensitive skin.
The juice derived from the roots of the licorice plant has long been used in Chinese medicine as a treatment for all kinds of skin ailments. In the early 1990s, Japanese scientists identified the compound glabridin in liquorice, which absorbs UVA and UVB rays and acts as a powerful and effective skin-whitening element.
A clinical study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry has shown that glabridin can inhibit the melanin-producing enzyme tyrosinase by as much as 50% – and without damaging skin cells! Licorice extract is effective in treating post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation (including dark spots), can also be used to reverse the damage caused by acne scars, and contains anti-inflammatory properties that help soothe the skin and reduce redness.
The extract from this plant contains antioxidants, has anti-microbial properties, and is rich with Vitamin C. Emblica extract protects the skin from sun damage and helps reduce hyperpigmentation.
A study on people from a variety of ethnic backgrounds conducted by Dr. Zoe Draelos, a clinical and research dermatologist, found that emblica contained powerful skin-lightening properties that were equivalent to, or better than, those achieved by conventional skin-lighteners like hydroquinine.
Emblica has been shown to protect the skin against oxidative stress, reduce wrinkles, regulate melanin production, and help the skin retain its natural moisture.
The secret beauty nutrient in papaya is papain, an enzyme that has skin-lightening properties and can reduce the visibility of blemishes and acne scars. Together with alpha hydroxy acids, papain acts as a gentle exfoliator that dissolves inactive protein and dead skincells.
Vitamin A is an antioxidant that attacks free radicals, and thereby prevents signs of aging like pigmentation, wrinkles and uneven skintone. Carrots have beta-carotene that is a skin-friendly component converted into vitamin A inside human body that can whiten the skin. They are rich in Karetonoid, the colouring agent of vegetables. They are also called as the ‘herbal healer’ of skin diseases because they endorse the repair of skin tissue.
